Recently I asked on this forum how to make a cut between two curved pipes one to another (link to that thread at the end of my post) and the solution was to install Graitec PowerPack - it worked and now I can make cuts just like I wanted:
Again, not sure how the graitec tool cuts the pipe, but I know you can control the number of facets from MT. Go to System/General/Minimum facets for the body approximation of a full circle... I've set mine to 75. Be careful though, the more facets, the more memory...
"if that is a daily task for you I would recommend to get a tool built that does that automatically: Retrieve the data from AS and create the cuts using Ac solids and export the created pipe to a dwg."
ChristianBlei, how it could be done automatically? I don't expect to have that issue in future designs, but right now I have a structure to make, where is a lot of those kind of cuts, so automatizations would be very welcome.
