Inthe final part of Chapter 3 (A Burden of Blood) of the game Plague Tale Requiem, the heroes must escape from the dungeon and fort. From the following walkthrough you will learn how to avoid detection in the fort, how to retrieve Amicia's slingshot and how to pass the puzzle using a ballista to create a diversion.

You'll reach walls guarded by two guards. Enter through the lower shutter. Immediately after squeezing through, hide under the table and wait for the guard to stand idle. Once that happens, get out from under the table, reach the stairs and continue forward.


Once you regained your equipment turn 180 degrees to find a locked Workbench. This time (and the first time this happens), a knife is required to unlock it, destroying it in progress. If you've managed to open the workbench, you'll find a tool and some crafting reagents.


After climbing up, turn to the right. You can use the slingshot to fire at the hook shown in the screenshot above - the action will lower the drawbridge. Get through the drawbridge to the other side (to the area with the ladders), and you'll find a souvenir (Our Home).


Proceed to push the ballista - it must ultimately stop in front of the barn gate. Finally, use the ballista's crank to charge the projectile and fire it with maximum force. The distaction worked - the escape ends Chapter 3.

After emerging from the well, you'll find yourself again on the surface, but this time there is only one possible path. Reach the encampment and take the torch that one of the dead men is holding. Light it and proceed towards the port. Along the way, you'll encounter a soldier who will inform the heroes of guests arriving.


After the cutscene depicting the meeting will conclude, follow the soldier, this time to meet up with the Count. Follow the Count. His bad intentions become aparent, and you'll find yourself in a new location.


You've landed in the cellar, and Count is still at large. You must act quickly - jump over the barrels on the left and hide under the table. This action will be successful only if the Count is away, otherwise he will see you.


Go around the tables and reach the kitchen exit. After the figure in the doorway appears in front of you, turn left. At the crossroads shown in the screenshot, choose the right corridor (it is lit).


Take the first left. The count will suddenly break down the door in front of you - you must quickly run left. Continue your escape and in the next part of the cellar run zig-zag to avoid the obstacles.


Along the way, there are gaps that you can squeeze through to get some distance from the pursuer. You'll reach a room where Amicia barricades the door, but this, unfortunately, is not the end of the pursuit.


In the new area, there is a rotating mechanism that, when used, lowers the grate. Unfortunately, the mechanism generates noise when used, and this attracts the Count. To persevere, gradually interact with the mechanism when Count is far away. Repeat this step a few times - fortunately, the mechanism will not return to its starting position during breaks.


It will probably take you 3 tries to fully unlock the gate. Once successful, a side passage will open - use it. Turn right and reach the door on the left. You've managed to, once again, evade the pursuers.
