Therecalibration tool can be accessed through the Xbox accessories app. On Xbox consoles, this can be found by pressing the Xbox button on the controller > Profile & System > Settings, Devices, and Connections > Controllers and Headsets. For PC users, the Xbox accessories app can be downloaded from Microsoft.

In addition to the recalibration tool, the February update included improved filtering and sorting for games and apps, and touchscreen controls for Xbox remote play. Microsoft recently announced that the entire Xbox catalog will be available for cloud play this year, and the new control options will support that.

After going through the calibration wizard, the following registries are written with the calibrated data,HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\DirectInput\\Calibration\0\Type\Axes\, where is the axis number.

The calibration that Windows does is convert the physical values into a calibrated range (min, mid, max values from above). For instance, suppose my defective left analog stick reads from 10-100 for horizontal movement (x-axis) when it should be range from 0-255. Then I can set the min/max values to 10 and 100 respectively to calibrate for the defective analog stick.

As for your particular case, you might want to consider using the some Windows API to read the values (e.g. XInput, UWP API). As a bonus, here is some of my buggy that reads controller input using Windows XInput API.

A few years ago, all it took to get gaming was to connect your console to an A/V port, pop in a cartridge, then find a comfortable spot on the carpet close to the TV. But these days, the best TVs contain a maze of options, and ensuring your games look their best can become overwhelming. And that's before we even discuss refresh rates, AKA the biggest lie told to TV buyers.

Thankfully, Microsoft makes the process a little easier with the Xbox Series X and Series S, providing a built-in calibration tool that guides you through which settings to adjust on your TV in order to get the best visual results. All you need is your TV remote, 10-15 minutes, and, of course, an Xbox Series X or S.

Editor's note: This guide involves using your TV remote to enter the settings menu of your TV to change picture settings. If you're unsure of how to do this, consult your TV's user guide. Also, you may not see the exact options contained in the Xbox calibration tool on your TV, as the tool is a general guide for all TV brands. Some settings may be listed under a similar name, or may not be there at all. With this in mind, try to follow the instructions as closely as possible, and consult your TV's user guide if you're unsure of any settings.

10. On the "Advanced color" menu, you'll see a list of final tweaks that can be made. As mentioned on the screen, only certain TVs support these settings, so don't worry if you don't see them on your TV's settings menu. If you do see these settings, follow the instructions on the screen and select "Done" when you're finishing adjusting them. If you don't see them, you can skip this part and select "Done."

After following this guide on how to calibrate your TV for your Xbox Series X or S, you should immediately notice a difference in the visual quality of your games and movies. If you want to revert back to your previous picture settings, simply reset them in your TV's settings menu using your TV remote.

My wheel is working again. I contacted Thrustmaster customer support and they gave me the following procedure to try before replacing the base unit. It was step #4 (usb connector) that solved my problem.

My tmx home button did the same thing.I used a very sma;ll drill bit and drilled the center of the button and put a small screww in there.Now it can be pulled out.That was the first step.I found a small piece of flat plastic (popsicle stick shaped but only 2 inches long and drilled a hole in either end .I drilled a small hole beside the button to the left,one 1/2 inches over from the button.Using a rubber sink tap washer I attached the left side of the plastic stick with the washer rasing the left side of the stick to be even with the xbox buttonb top when not pressed in.Then put the screw in the xbox button hole and bingo!! Since the left side of the plastic is raised by the rubber washer the button attached the the other end it wants to stay in the out position.I was gonna return it but the new one will break anyways so I fixed it myself.

I am projecting a game -which has a number of buttons- on a spandex fabric attached to a frame and I want to see which button is touched by the user by monitoring the depth change of that particular area on the fabric.(the fabric is stretched since it's attached to the edges of the frame)

You can start by taking a look at SLStudio. You would need to get it running and add a camera class for your kinect. But if this is done, it has a nice calibration for your kinect to projector in it. The output will be camera matrices (fx,fy,cx,cy) and distortion coefficients (k1-k6,p1,p2) and R and T of the kinect to projector (See OpenCV definitions).

Now if you display a button on the projector, you know the pixel ranges for it. This can now be calculated to the pixels on the kinect. Probably you project them to the color pixels and use the kinect functions to project them on the depth pixels. Select and average the pixels you would like to use to detect the button push.

The quickest way to find the calibration tool is by searching for it in your Control Panel. You can access your Control Panel by searching control panel in Windows Settings or through Microsoft Support.

Once you have opened your Control Panel, search for color management in the search bar at the top of the window. Find the Color Management setting, then click on the Advanced tab to find options for display calibration.

Select the Calibrate display button near the bottom of the window. You may need to enter your username and password before making any further changes to your device. After you enter your information, Windows will provide you with an explanation on how to change your display settings.

You will be able to click through several options for changing your color settings. Read through Windows instructions and adjust your gamma and brightness levels to what you feel is most accurate. A reference image will be provided for you as a guide. After you are satisfied with your changes, you can click on the Finish button to update your settings.
