I wanted to touch base because we had a contracting position open up with a client of ours and I was hoping you might share it with the NETUG. It is a year-long contract with the College of Southern Idaho and they will let the developer work remotely after spending the first couple days on-site. The W-2 hourly rate is in the $45-50/hr. range. I’d really appreciate your help on this!

 

I’ve included the description below, they have listed quite a few technologies and it is a Senior level role. The most important are:

C#/SQL Development

Web Development (HTML, JavaScritp, etc.)

 

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for providing software development capabilities for the College of Southern Idaho's web/mobile systems, enterprise applications, and data transformation services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Write SQL code to interact with applications.

2.      Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ASP.NET applications using C#.

3.      Convert custom Microsoft Access components to SQL Server Reporting Services.

4.      Analyze, design, develop, and query database systems.

5.      Assist Institutional Research to develop data queries for custom reports.

6.      Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Service Owners engaging clients in defining software design and user experience requirements.

7.      Follow Agile SDLC methodology for project execution.

8.      Actively participate in ITSM operations including but not limited to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Catalog.

9.      Contribute detailed documentation for future state and current state enterprise software architecture as necessary.

10.   Provide detailed documentation for application security, data transformation services, solution knowledge base, and training guides as needed.

11.   Follow troubleshooting best practices including defect analysis, root cause analysis, change management, etc.

12.   Be available on-call after normal business hours for escalation support of mission-critical systems and services.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in a business environment with direct responsibility for database development and/or web programming.
