UNIX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR X 2

FUNCTION: To manage business customers with web-hosting requirements. This
role will provide support to our customer's 24 hours, 7 days a week and
therefore you will be required to participate in an on-call rota.

REPORTING TO: Computer Operations Manager

SUMMARY

Working as part of a technically competent team of Unix Systems
Administrators maintaining over 50 servers in a modern, technically
advanced environment. This is a challenging role, which will also require
cross training to NT and participation in an on-call rota.

In order to fulfil this role you will need the following skills:

2-3 years Systems Administration experience preferably on Solaris
2.5.1/2.6/7.

Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS (BIND), NFS, Apache and Security
issues.

Shell scripting.

Good communication skills.

Must be able to focus on deadlines and achieve them.

Able to work alone and as part of a team.

Highly desirable skills:

Experience of NT administration

Perl, SQL, C Programming

Any Router / Firewall experience

CSA or SNA certified
