FUNCTION: To manage business customers with web-hosting requirements on NT
servers. This role will provide support to our customers 24 hours, 7 days
a week and therefore you will be required to participate in an on-call
rota.

REPORTING TO: Computer Operations Manager

SUMMARY

Working as part of a technically competent team of Unix Systems
Administrators maintaining over 50 servers in a modern, technically
advanced environment. This is a challenging role, which will also require
cross training to UNIX and participation in an on-call rota.

In order to fulfil this role you will need the following skills:

2-3 years NT Administrator experience.

Full or part qualified MSCE with a minimum of MCP+I to
date.

Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS (BIND), NFS and Security issues.

Good communication skills.

Must be able to focus on deadlines and achieve them.

Able to work alone and as part of a team.

Highly Desirable Skills:

Experience of UNIX administration.

Perl, SQL, C programming.

Any Router/Firewall experience.
