REPORTING TO: Senior System Administrator

SUMMARY

Working as part of a technically competent team of Unix Systems
Administrators maintaining over 40 servers in a modern, technically
advanced environment. This is a challenging role, which provides the
opportunity to learn internet related skills. You will be working on an
on-going development of internet facing applications.

In order to fulfil this role you will need the following skills:

C Programming, Bourne Shell and Perl Scripting

Unix System Administration experience, preferably Solaris 2.5.1 / 2.6

Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and Sendmail

Documenting work completed in a clear and concise fashion

Good communication skills

Must be able to focus on deadlines and achieve them, and able to work as
part of a team

Highly desirable skills:

Some exposure to SQL would be a distinct advantage

Radius

Apache

Usenet / news

Unix and Network Security

Any web experience would be very useful (HTML, CGI Scripting)
