I'm trying to install NetBSD-1.3.1 on an AST 9310 that has a keyboard
connected to it via the PS/2 mouse port -- they keyboard port is fried.
When booting with the NetBSD installation diskette the boot prompt can
see the keyboard (I can interrrupt the five second countdown and type in
kernel boot options for instance), but after the kernel is loaded the
keyboard is dead and (obviously :) I can't proceed with the install.
This machine has worked with Windows, OS/2, and Linux in this
configuration but doesn't seem to want to work with NetBSD. I've also
tried booting with NetBSD-1.3 with no luck.
Is there a boot option I can pass to the kernel to force it recognise
the keyboard, or do I require a different version of kernel on the
installation diskette? If I do require a different kernel, is there a
site where I can pick one up?
Thanks alot!
