Using rack space reservations

Can someone guide me through the steps to reserve space in racks? I read the Docs and see there is a "Reservations" sections on my Rack View page but no way to add reservations.

Does your account have permission to create reservations? If you're not logged in as a superuser, your user account or one of your assigned groups must be assigned the permission under the admin UI.

Interesting. I do not see any reason to restrict creation of reservations only for super users when staff users can overwrite and add a device in the reserved space.

It's not. As with all objects in NetBox, the ability to add, change, and delete reservations is controlled by the assignment of permissions. You must have the correct permissions assigned to your user, or you must be a superuser (which has all permissions inherently).
