Hey guys,

A couple of years ago I wrote a script to automatically scan subnets and fill my Netbox instance with the results: https://github.com/forkd/netbox-scanner

Due to professional appointments, I'm not able to keep this project anymore, although some people are still using it (see the issues tab). If some of you are interested to maintain this project and improve it, please contact me, so I can transfer the repository to you. Note that you **must be** a Python programmer.

About the project

netbox-scanner is a piece of software that uses Nmap to discover hosts in some subnets, retrieving information about then to register in NetBox. All hosts receive a common tag so the script will know what IP addresses are automatically maintained and can be updated or eventually deleted (if not responding anymore).

The project documentation must be improved as well as how to set up and run the main script. There are some open issues that should be solved and maybe improve the overall performance.

Let me know if you have the interest and send me your GitHub profile.

See you,
José Lopes
