I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or whether I'm asking for something that isn't implemented.

Running NetBox 2.9.3
I have some passive optical CWDM mux units with 8 duplex LC ports.
I've modelled this having the "line" port being the rear port with 8 positions and then having 8 front ports, each with a wavelength.
This appears to work, except that there is a break in the cable tracing at the point of the Mux.
If I go the the rear / line port and run a cable trace from there, I see everthing from that rear port onwards, but it doesn't link to the front port and the remote interface from there.
If I go to the remote interface of the front port and do a cable trace, it goes to the specific wavelength-labelled port, but doesn't continue out of the back and carry on.

There was a similar discussion here: https://groups.google.com/g/netbox-discuss/c/xoQFjJvNCTc/m/_XJb9ZRqAAAJ and I gather it should work, but isn't.

Playing around with it a little more, I seem to have made progress, but at the bottle of the cable trace, I get a messace:
"Trace completed, but there is no Front Port corresponding to RX-06-MUX1 1470. Therefore no end-to-end connection can be established".
Now the RX-06-MUX1 device does have a front port labelled 1470. And this front port then does have a cable going to an interface.
Clicking on the RX-06-MUX1 device, I can see the front ports, and under port name 1470, there is a connection to a switch.

So I can't see why it doesn't complete.

Ahh. I think it's a strange bug. Maybe it doesn't like a name with a big number if not contiguous?

Going to the remote switch, I have a cable connection to the front port 1490, yet the complete connection chain is apprently incomplete with the "Not connected":

Clicking on the cable trace button, I get some correct, but strange information:
snip of the middle part of the cable trace (cables 2 to 5). Final / bottom of the cable trace:
So it does terminate at Interface Gi 8/1. The cable trace is in effect now complete. But why the "not connected" earlier? And again, the message at the bottom saying no front port corresponding to RX-06-MUX1 1490 makes no sense as it was effectively shown and followed through in the cable trace.

I'm really confused!
