Hello. I'm trying to set netbox and start working with it. I had successfully install it.
But now i don't know how to populate it with devices and ip's in proper way.
Probably i can create devices manualy with hand or import from csv.
But how to set up automatic updates of device info when it changes?
Is there some kind of client or scrips that need to be run on device side?
I know that for network devices there is NAPAL inegration. But what about server devices or VM devises?

I heve found several videos and tutorial's about how to install netbox, but is there any how to use guide's or videos?

Thank you.

Netbox doesn't do this (apart from the minimum level of NAPALM integration).  If you want to auto-update, you need to write your own code to talk to the API.

For something which polls your network looking for what it can find, try Netdisco or Netdot.  Netbox attacks the problem from the other side: it is a manually-curated "source of truth" of what your network is intended to be.

However I would be interested to see a project which compares the Netbox model with data collected from SNMP/LLDP/ARP etc, and proposes updates - allowing them to be manually approved or declined before adding them into Netbox.
