Hi all,

In our environment, in some cases we use small switchboards between a power feed and the PDUs in order to "split" the 32A Single Phase input, into 3x 16A Single Phase. this allows us to scale more 16A pdus in full-rack setups (up to 6 PDUs per rack).

Also as we use racks that are separated in 2x23U and 3x15U for dedicaded customer housing (some customers only have a handfull of equipments and do not want to rent a 47U, so we have this solution), we use these switchboards that allows us to get the power consumption per PDU.
I'm wondering if there's some kind of solution for this on Netbox since AFAIK i can only associate one power feed to one PDU.

In order to help you all to understand, i've attached a simple diagram of what we have.

NetBox only models the upper portion of the first diagram, from what you have labeled as breakers to the individual PDUs. Beyond that we get into the realm of facilities power management, which is well out of scope for NetBox.

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for your reply,
I understand your point, but still, looking into the power components of Netbox, we kind of have everything in the diagram, since (and this is only my interpretation, it may be wrong) theres a power pannel, that represents the main power distribution pannel of a DC room, the power feeds, that are like the breakers on that pannel, tipically 32A. We add a smaller distribution pannel with a power feed as an input, with 3 additonal  power feeds (in this case 16A) to connect to power ports. The components are all there i think :).

I was just wondering if there's a way to:
   - permit a power feed to be an input to a power pannel
OR
  - be able to connect the power feed to more than one power port of a device

Best regards,
RM
