netbox secrets

Hello,

My organisation is thinking about moving our secrets to Netbox.

I see in the milestones of version 2.12 :  Move secrets to an official plugin

What should we expect from this, secrets will be removed from the next official version? If we do move secrets to Netbox, shall we expect an easy transition with the way they will be handled by Netbox in the future?

I would strongly discourage new users from using NetBox's secrets storage functionality. It is indeed being split off into a plugin for the upcoming v2.12 release, and frankly better tools exist for this (e.g. Hashicorp Vault). We'll probably focus more on integrating with Vault in future releases.
