Hi all,

We've had a lot of excellent feedback on the first v2.5 beta and I want to say thank you to everyone who gave it a spin and reported issues. Your feedback is immensely helpful in furthering the development of NetBox and ensuring a relatively stable production release.

Given the large number of changes since the first beta, John and I have decided to release a second beta of v2.5, with the production release scheduled for the second week in December. We don't anticipate any feature changes in v2.5 from this point, only bug fixes. As always, please be sure to use only a copy of your production database when evaluating the beta release.

Jeremy

Is there away to upgrade if we cloned the Git Repository?

Thanks!

If you've clone the repo, you can just check out the develop-2.5 branch. This release (like beta1) is just a snapshot of that branch.

Will migrations work to go from 2.5b1 to 2.5b2? Or should we trash the 2.5b1 instance and clone from a 2.4.x instance before applying migrations?

Good question. You'll need to restart migrations from a clean v2.4 database, as some of the migrations from beta1 have been modified. Sorry I forgot to mention this.

Darn, I started with v2.5-beta1.  It's for a proof of concept. It's not production data, but I'd rather not have to re import and hand enter a lot of the data.
