Hello All,
I am trying to boot my eeepc over a local TFTP server. This is kind of a last resort for me, as I have tried most other netboot options without success.
On the computer that I intend to use as a server, I run Ubuntu 11.10 with all requisite packages installed for a tftp server. I am unfamiliar with the configuration and can't seem to find good resources online.
Does anyone on this forum have any advice or instructions to help me out?
Thanks a lot.
The reason I am trying this is that I had previously used
boot.fedoraproject.org and gpxe to install Fedora over gpxe on another machine; now I tried this on the eeepc and was unable to detect any network connections.
I read a bit and saw that support for the Atheros driver in my eeepc was sketchy in gpxe, and so I tried using the undi driver to no avail as well. Then, I played around with the on-board (BIOS) PXE boot options, still without progress.
Eventually I was redirected here.
So can you help me out,
netboot.me people?
