Have read a lot of what I've found here that's congruent to my issue but that wasn't of much help. So I'm asking my own question.
I would like to experiment a little first, say, with TinyCore. I'm using now a VAIO but would like to use an HP-Compaq laptop that's lacking a hdd but has a floppy drive (the VAIO lacks the floppy drive). Have d/l some files already in preparation to what should happen soon (I hope): netbootme.dsk & usb files as well as netbootme.iso.
I mounted the iso file & copied the contained files outside for readiness.
Now, I'm running Puppy Linux 528.005 as my default OS (have other puppies available) frugally; no windows OS available here. BTW, the HP can be booted up with a DSL (DamnSmallLinux) in a stick & get connected to the web. I already changed my VAIO's BIOS settings & it has PXE availability.
To do the above (booting TinyCore from the VAIO) booting up another linux distro from the HP, what do you recommend?
Thanks in advance for any help on these!
Note: Would like to see in the near future the capability of booting right from your servers at least one puppy distro!
