Hi everyone,

For some reason, regardless of what mirror I choose for downloading
and installing openSUSE 11.4, my download speeds are locked in around
65 kB/s. Normally I can go well beyond that, but it seems like the
driver used (at least in the bootable floppy) are locked in at that
speed.

Does anyone else receive that speed, or am I the only one?

I've seen something similar.  My hunch is that it has to do with the network
stack in the PXE image.

That would make sense, is this something that can be improved on
netbootme's end?

Looks like the source is available.

I had a machine in my shop a couple of weeks ago that  netbootme wouldn't boot.  For some
reason the NICs were not recognized by gPXE.  My hunch is that solutions to both of these issues
lie in gPXE.

I recall using this unique grub image that supposedly has the greatest
level of network card support, and it's intention was for PXE booting.
Perhaps it can be applied to netboot.me in some form.

Shall I file a bug report at their github page? I'm not too familiar
with the source code so I wouldn't be able to be very specific in my
bug report.

You should be able to check the existing reports to see if there is a
similar report already filed.  If not, a bug report is a good way to
raise the issue with the developers.

Looks like this will mark the first bug report filed for netboot.me-gpxe :)

Thanks for your help, Marc. I hope the developers will be able to do
something about this.
