To provide infrastructure engineering services in support of business and financial objectives through the secure and recoverable delivery of high quality, low cost, responsive computing services.
Fundamental Components/Job Description:
From the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) monitor, manage and maintain a network of deployed Windows and Unix devices. Work with Windows/Unix Engineers to monitor and maintain the deployed devices. He/she will diagnose issues identified by server monitoring tools and determine actions required to resolve these issues, work with various third parties (Engineers, System Architects, Infrastructure Vendors, Customers, and Developers) to achieve resolution on service-affecting issues. Clearly and effectively document information in the Trouble Ticket system for communication to coworkers, other departments, and service providers.
Background/Experience desired:
3+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent work experience.
Additional Candidate Information
Recommend new tools and technologies to support the Data Center.
Previous experience or exposure to tools such as HP OpenView, Tivoli, and/or BMC BPPM Product line, Remedy Application and /or Service Now is a plus.
Utilize clear communication skills when documenting and training processes to team members.
Mentor junior staff members.
Should be flexible with any kind of shift including night shift.
