I'm in the same league as Don - it can work over a network, but
the game described in the book must be simplified. In
particular, we had to skip the business of bidding for players
and giving them contracts entirely. It took the better part of a
week to draft as it was...

Note that this took close to a week on DecNet, where electronic
mail gets to its recipient immediately. Using UUCP, you'll be in
big trouble unless all the participants are within a hop or two
of each other on machines that forward mail every hour or less.
The season will be half over by the time you finish drafting.
If you can make it work, though, it's great!
