friends have said, "Kid, why do you wear a gloves?" Many, many men (and
women) have tried to persuade me to remove my gloves, but I've remained
adamant. NO ONE BUT THE ONE I MARRY WILL EVER SEE MY KNUCKLES.
(I don't give samples, I say to them; references maybe, but not samples!)
That time in the bar, well, sure, the heat of the moment, I almost did,
but almost doesn't count, right?
Thot #1. Now, I don't want to reveal my sexuality to 5K people. Quite
`frankly'. Maybe later, just keep tuned to this channel. But for anyone
who has read this far, if you think that you can make a choice and not
judge other people by/through that choice, you're only kidding yourself.
Any choice. You *may* not discriminate, but you *do* judge.
Thot #2. I can understand religious reasons for being a virgin. `Personal'
reasons, I'm not so sure. (Shields up, Mr. Sulu!) I (note pronoun) think
that there are far more important things in life than sex. Like a
relationship with someone that I could love forever. (Maudlin sentimentality,
Mr. Spock! Affirmative, Captain.) And, certain contributors determining that
such a relationship *must* precede a rather commonplace physical act (and not
for for any specific reason, mind me) indicates a list of priorities I find
interesting. I *don't* want to say that there aren't valid personal reasons,
reasons that make sense and should be respected. Scott had one. Personal
choice isn't a reason, it's an emotion. And I'd bet it's based on either
up-bringing or religious reasons of some time ago. Not personal reasons.
Any takers? In our society, virginity is prized. But, as a society, only
in women. Doesn't that make you think? Men are *expected* to be experienced,
and a virgin male, hell, even an UNMARRIED male is probably gay.

When she *finally* finds him, she points out that it would have been
a lot easier to find him if her husband had told her that he was
<insert favorite prejudice>. Anyway, THAT'S when something about
someone doesn't matter. NOT when you say, "Well, s/he's
<insert again>, but s/he shouldn't be judged on the basis of that."
