I've got an older 135mm short telephoto lens, and I want to use
it on my Nikon. Problem: the thing is a screw mount, so won't
fit the Nikon body. The lens is relatively good (f 2.8), and I
like the results I got with the old camera it came off of (the
old one went belly up), and I'd like to use this thing.
It's probably a better idea to buy a new lens. An older lens is almost
definitely not as good as a newer one. There are plenty of fine 135mm
f/2.8 lenses out there for a decent price. Unless the lens has
interchangable mounts, it's gonna cost you an arm and a leg to get a
Nikon mount on it (if it's even possible -- you didn't say what kind of
lens it was). There are few places that will even do it. Marty
Forscher would do it, but I don't think an old 135 would be worth
paying for his bench time ...
