Note, out of 11 sites currently on X25Net, three are already Usenet Backbone
sites (hplabs, decwrl, and bellcore).
The obvious transport mechanism would be NNTP, unless someone really wants to
run UUCP. (It can be done! :-) )

decwrl's contract agreement with CSnet specifically forbids us to carry
USENET over the links. I believe that hplabs' agreement does, too.
By the way, we use a scheme built around rcp and special-purpose shells for
copying news over IP/TCP links; we find it a pleasant and efficient
alternative to NNTP (not that NNTP isn't pleasant and efficient).
