By now everyone knows that Secretary of the Interior James Watt
wanted to ban the Beach Boys from the Fourth of July celebration
in Washington because they attract young people taking drugs and
drinking.

Today's New York Times has an editorial titled "The Art of Being
James Watt," which ends by saying:

"... He is an endless source of invention, much like his 18th
century namesake. That James Watt invented an engine that harnessed
the motive power of steam. This one merely spouts off."

Cute, huh?

Actually, I prefer the response of a radio listener in Wash. D.C.
who stated:
"Wayne Newton is to music what James Watt is to the environment"

I was watching a video of the group, Culture Club on Mtv the other night,
actually it was a concert. On one of the closeups, the lead singer appeared
differently to me than on the videos. Although the singer's voice is rather
deep, it is possible for the singer to be a woman, but according to the
close ups; singer looked to be a transvestite. Could someone, who has fol-
lowed the career of this group tell me if the lead singer is a man or a
woman? I am insatiably curious.

Thank you
