EGA and SHFT-PRTSCRN

A while back someone posted a patch to WordStar that allows it
to use the 43 line mode on an EGA. The problem that I am having is
that after running the WSEGA I can no longer use a SHFT-PRTSCRN to
print out what is on the screen. I do not know if this is a side-effect
of this patch only or if it would happen if any software puts the EGA
in this mode and then returns it to normal monochrome mode. (note: I
am not trying to print the 43 line screen to the printer but I am
trying to print after WSEGA has put the screen back into the normal
mode.)

I suspect that putting it in the 43 line mode may set up the
system so that SHFT-PRTSCRN does not operate but putting it back in
the normal mode does not totally undo what was done to get it in the
new mode.

Any information would be helpful.

(Equipment: IBM-PC, Orchid Turbo-EGA, 640K, 20M HD.)

Thanks for any comments.
