chkdsk, formater, mousetrap

To save some people some trouble:

chkdsk (posted some time ago) only seems to work on a hard disk
(default drive c), not a floppy. Has anyone modified it to work on a
floppy?

If it does, will it (and other programs) work with the formater program
recently posted, i.e. on a floppy created by formater with either 9 or
10 sectors per track and either 80 or 82 tracks per disk. Incidentally,
I would be interested to know how the option for formatting disks for
fast reading works.

Formater is incompatible with the mousetrap program posted with the
second issue of STart, because both use the right hand mouse button.
Thus, if you want to use formater, don't put mousetrap in the auto
folder.
