I purchased the X-10 Powerhouse controller from DAK for
$20.00 and agree with previous posters that it is a
steal. The only problem I have run into is that the
utility program "X10UTILITY" on the back of the Apple
software disk is missing the code above hex 6400.
I would like to find out if this is just my copy or if
all the disks went out this way. If it is just my copy I
will return it to DAK for a new copy, but if all the
disks are bad, I will just regenerate the code myself.
Thanks in advance.

I am very much interested in X-10 and related products. Does this controller
allow direct control of X-10 modules, or is it an interface to a stand-alone
X-10 Computer that controls the X-10 modules? Is $20.00 plus X-10 modules
all that is required to get household control of appliances???
thanks,
Colin
I have the software for the mac and apple //. I find the mac software
very poor and difficult to use. You are prone to move the settings for
one modual to another not knowing it. Also settings are difficult
to display. It is not convient to display the settings in an understandable
textual format - day - time on - time off - etc, the graphics they use
get in the way and make prgramming the controller and making changes
very time consuming and prone to errors.
