speech sound cartridge and COCO III

When I use my speech sound cartridge on my COCO III with M/L games like
PITFALL II I get noise. My basic programs will work fine.

When I use PITFALL II on my old COCO I ,the speech sound cartridge works
fine.

CAN ANYONE HELP???
