Help !!
We have a cockatiel, white female. She has a bulge on her left wing
that appears to be the size of a large marble-- It is soft on 1 side and she
picks at it and makes it bleed. It is hard on the other side and seems to
be getting worse and taking off part of the wing.,. It is in the center
joint of the wing.
We have no vet. within 75 miles that will look at a bird. Any help???
Advice???

Well, I think you have to travel 75+ miles. Your description sounds like
it could be some kind of tumor - perhaps a benign fatty tumor (lipoma) or
some sort of malignant sarcoma (cancer). Without taking the bird to a
veterinarian, you have absolutely no way of helping your bird, short of
doing surgery at home, which I certainly wouldn't recommend!!!
