Tektronix announces the following Smalltalk-80 classes:

* Advanced Smalltalk-80 23-26 September 1986 Beaverton, OR
* Introductory Smalltalk-80 21-24 October 1986 Dallas, TX
18-21 November 1986 Washington, D C
10-13 February 1987 Santa Clara, CA
Note that the Advanced Class immediately precedes OOPSLA.

Major topics to be covered in the Advanced class include:

* Model, View, Controller - what they are, how they work, how to use.
* Multi-process Smalltalk programming, including external processes
and interfacing to other languages.
* Multiple Inheritance - possible uses, advantages, concerns and the
Smalltalk implementation.
* Smalltalk programming style.
* Smalltalk Project Management, including change management and team
programming examples.

Major topics to be covered in the Introductory class include:

* Object Oriented Programming Concepts
* The Smalltalk-80 System Structure and Implementation
* Syntax of the Smalltalk-80 Language and Existing Classes
* Graphics and Animation
* The Debugger
* Change Management
* The Model View Controller Paradigm

Lectures alternate with hands-on lab sessions.
