This one is so old some people might not have heard it.

It seems there was this boy who, as boys are wont to do, was watching a
blacksmith work. The blacksmith heated a horseshoe in the furnace
until it was white hot, beat it into the proper shape with his hammer
and anvil, and then quenched it in a barrel of water sending up clouds
of steam. The blacksmith placed it on the anvil and said to the boy
"Don't touch that, it's still plenty hot enough to burn ya!".

The blacksmith turned away to get the next horseshoe but, knowing boys,
watched out of the corner of his eye. Sure enough he saw the boy reach
out, pick up the horseshoe, and then quickly drop it. Whirling around
he said to the boy "I warned ya, burned yerself, heh?". The boy,
holding his hand behind his back replied: "Nope". The blacksmith, a
little mad at the boy for lying, yelled: "Fes up, I saw how quick ya
dropped that horseshoe, You got burned, didn't ya". The boy replied:

"Nope..., just doesn't take me long to look at a horseshoe".
