Very recently there was a thing in here about the "Twelve Days of
Christmas". I recall seeing this in a Playboy I'd say about five
years ago and three or four times since then. Its's old but I still
get a kick out of it.

Speaking of "T.T.D.O.C." does any one out there know all twelve
verses (or at least the entire last one ) to the parody that started
something like "On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to
me a beer..."? I think it came out last year just about this time.
Maybe Bob and Doug of Hose-head fame did it. I only heard half of it
once and it sounded like them. If anyone can remember it please
post it.

Thanks,
Ryan

The Twelve Days of Christmas by Bob and Doug McKenzie (sp?), from
(faulty) memory...

[First, they identified the 12 days of Christmas to be: Christmas (1),
Christmas Eve (2), Boxing Day (3), New Years and New Years Eve (4,5),
two Saturdays and Sundays between (..9), and three Mystery Days...)

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a beer.....
On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
two turtlenecks, and a beer.
On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
three french toasts, two turtlenecks, and a beer (gee, it sounds like
something ought to be in there...).
On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
four pounds of back-bacon, three french toasts,
two turtlenecks, and a beer...in a tree. (ah, that's it!)
On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
five golden tukes
four pounds of back-bacon, three french toasts,
two turtlenecks, and a beer...in a tree.
On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
six packs of Tuborg,
five golden tukes,
4 pounds of back-bacon, 3 french toasts, 2 turtlenecks, and a beer in
a tree.
On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
seven packs of smokes, 6 packs of Tuborg,
5 golden tukes
4 pounds of back-bacon, 3 french toasts, 2 turtlenecks, and a beer in
a tree
On the 8 D.O.C., M.T.L.G.T.M.,
8 [drat, I forgot]
7 packs of smokes, 6 packs of Tuborg,
5 golden tukes,
4 lbs of back-bacon, 3 french toasts, 2 turtlenecks, and a beer in a
tree
"gee, this should be the 2 days of Christmas, this is too hard for us...
what day are we on? CHORUS: Twelve... Ah, good day, and welcome to day 12.

CH: 5 golden tukes...
...and a tree"

Much patter left out, alas...

Speaking of the "beer" version of T.T.D.O.C., KGON played it last nite
(12/22) whilst I was reading. KGON is a mostly rock FM radio station in
Portland, Oregon. You might contact them for a reference to the "beer"
version.
