MISC (they're all MISC this time, folks)

Silver Cross #3 (of 3): Antarctic - Badly rushed ending, and a death
which had zero impact because I never got a reason to care about any of the
characters. Nice art, though. Neutral. $2.95/$4.20Cn
Mobile Police Patlabor Part 2 #4: Viz - Initial scenes hard to follow, a
bit too much emphasis in the labor action and not the characterization.
Mildly recommended. $2.95/$4.00Cn
La Cosa Nostroid VIII: Fire Man Press - Good use of montage storytelling
to put us in the world with the rest of the people, only giving back the
omniscient reader position at the end. Recommended. $2.95/$3.95Cn
Tick Big Blue Destiny #4: NEC - Seemed more interested in slamming the
justice system than anything else, the story and the humor suffered.
Neutral. $3.50/$4.95Cn
Donna Troy #1: DC - Terrific art and an okay story from Jimenez, but I
was left wondering why the story was told in the first place. Mildly
recommended. $1.95/$2.75Cn
Avengers v3 #5: Marvel - Great art from Perez, good storyweaving from
Busiek. Strongly recommended. $1.99/$2.80Cn
Astro City v2 #14: Image - Promising start to the new arc.
Recommended. $2.50/$3.80Cn
Bone #32: Cartoon Books - More pieces of the puzzle are filled in and
there's some humor, but this arc goes out with something of a whimper.
Mildly recommended. $2.95/$4.20Cn
The Goat #1: Acclaim - Good, multilayered story hampered by uneven art
from Giffen and a fill-in (probably because Giffen blew the deadline or
something along those lines). Mildly recommended. $3.95/$5.75Cn
Gon Color Spectacular: DC/Paradox Press - Lovely art, although Tanaka's
color work is slightly inferior to his black and white line art IMO. Short,
fluffy stories. Strongly recommended, but note price. $5.95/$8.50Cn (48
pages, slightly smaller than normal comicbook size).
