Avengers Rough Cut #1: Even without inks or colors, Perez's pencils are
lovely, and Busiek's plot pages act as a reference source for the bazillion
characters who appeared in v3 #1. Recommended. $2.99/$4.20
Alpha Flight v2 #12: Okay story with a few good moments, horrendous
art. Neutral. $2.99/$4.20Cn
Iron Man v3 #6: Good story from Busiek, good art from Zircher.
Recommended. $1.99/$2.80Cn

Jack Kirby's Fourth World #17: Good art, but the computer effects clash
with it. Okay story. Mildly recommended. $1.95/$2.75Cn
Creeper #8: Story ends better than it began, art shows stronger Sal
Buscema touch, I like. Recommended. $2.50/$3.50Cn
Hardcore Station #1: Hardcore Starlin Space Opera. Mildly recommended.

JLA 80 Page Giant #1: Stories vary from so-so to good, art from bad to
very good. Mildly recommended. $4.95/$6.95Cn
Superman Adventures #21: Resolicited Supergirl Adventures #1. Aside
from being linked to some annoying Superman Adventures continuity, it's a
very good story by Dorkin and Dyer, with good art from Blevins. Strongly
recommended. $3.95/$5.50Cn
Legionnaires #62: Good Moy art, story is a lot of beginnings for this
6-part arc, very little resolution. Mildly recommended. $2.25/$3.25Cn
OTHERS
Galaxion Special #1: Helikon Comics - Good story (13 pages), good
summary of the existing series (3 pages), great price. Strongly
recommended. 99 cents.
Siren #1 (of 3): Image - Incredibly plot-dense story, good expressive
(albeit a tad goofy) art. Strongly recommended. $2.95/$4.45Cn
Transmetropolitan #11: DC/Helix - Good story and great art. One of the
supporting cast gets a chance to shine. Strongly recommended. $2.50/$3.50Cn
Quantum & Woody #16: Acclaim - Good story and art. Recommended.
$2.50/$3.50Cn
The Goat Inaction Figure: Acclaim - Somewhat disappointing. No molded
details, only one color of paint. Mild recommendation to avoid. $5.95
Best Book: Siren #1 (of 3), narrowly over the other strongly recommended
books.
Best Buy: Galaxion Special #1: Almost as good as the other strongly
recommended titles, but a lot cheaper.
