MARVEL

Thor v2 #1: John Romita Jr. does a pretty good job on the art, but
Jurgens not only fails to capture the feel, he also didn't research the
characters very well. Very mildly recommended, for the two or three scenes
that worked. $2.99/$4.20Cn
Ka-Zar v2 #15: Kenibal still need to work on making the art fit the
setting, but Priest turns in a nicely multi-layered story. Recommended.

DC

Power of Shazam #40: Okay story and art. Mildly recommended.

JLA Year One #7 (of 12): Lots of subplots, no real plot. Nice art.
Mildly recommended. $1.95/$2.75Cn
Gotham Adventures #2: Story tries to explain too much, but does a pretty
good job of it. Recommended. $1.95/$2.75Cn
Steel #52 (of 52): Priest does an amazingly good job of tying up loose
ends and resolving plots, although I wish he hadn't had to. Cowan seems
slightly more awake for this one. Recommended. $2.50/$3.50Cn

OTHERS

Ninja High School #62: Antarctic Press - Okay main story, albeit trading
too much on stereotypes for my taste. Backup pretty good considering its
length. Mildly recommended. $2.95/$4.20Cn
Cerebus #230: A-V - Something happens! Character growth is
demonstrated! A bit hard to follow if you haven't read the last 80 issues,
however. Mildly recommended. $2.25/$3.15Cn/#1.40UK
Mage v2 #7: Image - Fun art, story advances towards climax.
Recommedned. $2.50/$3.65Cn
StormWatch v2 #6: Image - Very good Hitch art, good Ellis story.
Recommended. $2.50/$3.80Cn

Best Book: Steel #52 by a nose, and for beating the odds (all the indications
said this was gonna be a mess of an issue, and it wasn't)
