MARVEL

Iron Fist #1 (of 3): Jurgens mischaracterizes every established
character, adds new annoying characters, and generally sinks to new depths of
mediocrity. Guice's inconsistent art doesn't help. Avoid. It's too late
for me, save yourselves. $2.50/$3.50Cn
Avengers v3 #6: Good art and story from Perez and Busiek, although
there's a small semi-hole near the end. Recommended. $1.99/$2.80Cn

DC

JLA #20: Jorgensen's art really kills this one. Waid's story starts
iffy but gets stronger. Very mildly recommended. $1.95/$2.75Cn
Supergirl #23: Great art from Kirk, thought-provoking, nay, thought-
demanding story from PAD. Slight mischaracterization, though. Recommended.
$1.95/$2.75Cn
Legion of Super-Heroes #106: Dynamic art from Armstrong (but he can't
draw Koko at all), story isn't quite as scattered as the first part of the
crossover. Mildly recommended. $2.25/$3.25Cn

OTHERS

Michael T. Desing's Army Ants #15: Teddy Bear Press - Short chunk of
story, but worth reading. Art is pretty good. Recommended. $1.50/$2.00Cn

Troublemakers #18: Acclaim - Okay filler art, story's good but a bit
message-y for my tastes. Mildly recommended. $2.50/$3.50Cn
Gay Comics #25: Years in the making, a huge anthology with wildly
varying quality, mainly humorous. Mildly recommended. $6.95 (yes, mild ouch
there)
