Help!! Red Spider Mites

I brought back some plumeria seeds from Hawaii and planted them in pots in Sunny
South Florida, they have grown well except for the dasardly red spider mites.
I have been treating the plants with a malathione spray but the spray seems to
poison me better that the mites! Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can
rid my plants of these insects?
