Re: Geraniums through the winter

My mom planted geraniums just about every year that I can remember.
When fall came around she would dig them up and hang them in the
basement bare-rooted. They would remain dormant until spring when
she replanted them, providing a hearty supply of water. Bear in
mind that the basement was in an old farm house and was more of a
root cellar (read cold). A garage would probably be just as good.
