My (old) edition of the Player's Handbook lists one of the ranks of clerics
as "Perfect." Why keep trying when you're Perfect?
(Obviously this should have been Prefect.)

My new copy still has the "aesthetic" typo, but the other one has been
spotted by TSR's ever-vigilant proofreading staff. The title for a 5th
level cleric is now just plain missing (or consists entirely of spaces).
Oh well, nobody's prefect....

My favorite gaming editorial SNAFU (not strictly speaking a typo)

SPI's board game Sniper (1st ed., a new one is due soon) had a rule on sighting
which stated:

"An erect man may expose himself in an aperture..."

Sniper is a game of WWII urban combat. Does the above rule state anything about
any proclivities of the average foot soldier?

I really don't think that TSR will ever fix that one, they might,
however, fix it in the new 2nd Edition rules that are supposed to be coming
out within 2 years. Of course then there will be new typos to laugh at.
