I've been working on a cross-stich sampler for my first nephew that
has instructions for the sampler itself (with places to put baby's
name, birthdate, and weight) as well as decorating pillows, towels,
blankets, bibs, etc. However, the colors they list are kinda
yucky and bland, in my opinion, so I am using different floss colors.
I'm also doing it on linen rather than aida.
It's the "Little Lamb Birth Sampler" from Margaret & Margaret Inc. I
got it at the Edwardian Needle in Bloomfield, NJ.

Oh, what perfect timing! I'm just agonizing over the "what to stitch"
decision myself. Clearly, I want to cross-stitch a sampler on linen.
But which one?? I've got a pretty & not-too-demanding Tom Kitten
sampler, with spaces for the appropriate baby info., but I don't know
if it's what my friend would want, and I'm totally dithering over how
to decide.
