If you are interested in playing chess or discussing chess related
subjects and have an Amateur Radio license, please take note:

Starting September 3rd (US Tuesday) and every US Tuesday evening
after, there will be a CARI (Chess Amateur Radio International)
sponsored chess net on 14.267 Mhz at 0300 hours GMT (GMT Wednesday
AM). The net control station will be NI7M located near Portland
Oregon. The primary intention of this net is to serve West Coast
chess playing hams at a more convenient time than the current East
Coast and European nets, (0300 GMT translates to 8 pm PDT), but
check-ins from anywhere are encouraged.

You don't have to be a CARI member and you don't have to be a good
chess player. Hams who would like to LEARN to play chess are
encouraged to check in.
