Bicycle for sale
The Bad News: No gears, no brakes, not recommended for commuting
The Good News: Very light, in sound condition and consistently placed racing
What is it? It's my track bike! Features: 531 frame; Superbe crank,
hubs; Record du Monde rims, good "imported" tires and a smattering of Campy
this and Cinelli that...
With my new responsibilities (a wife and baby due) I'm hanging up my
cleats for awhile, so we both have something to gain. Buy my 57cm, $400
bike and remember that it's used to going fast!
Call Mark Bucherl at 317-742-0416 between 5-11pm or send inquiries to
Stacy Bucherl (sbgsp@purdue) via mail.
There used to be a fellow in Cambridge who used a sort of
rickshaw attached to the back of his bike to cart his kids
around. It was large enough to be seen by cars and certainly
looked safer than a baby seat to me.

You ever seen Paris? Nope.
You ever seen New Delhi? Nope.
Well, there it is, you see what ya wanna see, and ya hear what
ya wanna hear.
This comes up about once a year.
A lot of people, me included, believe that those child carrier seats are
unsafe. If you take a spill, especially a full forward gainer, you can
seriously injure the child.
A better alternative is a bike trailer like the Cannondale "Bugger." The
child is much better protected, and the trailer will remain upright even
if you crash the bike. Most of them are big enough for two toddlers.
In any case, you should get a helmet for the kid, and pick one up for
yourself while you're at it. Even if you're just puttering around the
block after supper, you can't be too careful.
