I've mentioned this before in this newsgroup during development but
I'm mentioning it again as its now complete.
I've just finished the web page for WAPMet, the site I created for
giving you decoded METAR weather reports to a mobile phone or other
WAP device.
The site has been tested and works pretty good and I've created a
website so that you can read about it, how to use it and what it does.
The service is FREE, you can use it from anywhere in the world,
through any gateway you already have set up and, barring my server
crashing, available 24hrs a day.
The supporting webpage has images of the site actually on a mobile
phone plus details of how to use the site even if you dont have a WAP
device yet.
Thanks to everyone who gave me comments and feedback during its
development - everything was taken on board and listened to.
I hope people find this service useful and I'd appreciate it if you
could pass the word around, especially to the aviation press.
The URL below should detect whether you are using a WAP device or a
web browser and take you to the relevant page. Failing that, the
direct URLs are listed as well.
Thanks again and I hope you find it useful.
