I'm new to the net, and have recently finished scanning the last 200 or
so messages. I'm very impressed with most of what I read (esp. the 9-part
series on audioPHILe's system. ) What I want to do now is solicit suggestions
as to the best (relatively easy) mods to make to my somewhat elderly
Sansui integrated amp (TU-777A). (i.e. what portions of the circuit
(pre-amp? power-amp? PSU?), what type of changes, what type of parts
to use (polyester caps? polystyrene caps? mylar?) ). General guidelines
would be very helpful. I have a complete schematic, so I should be
able to figure out how to implement your suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

If the amp is more than 10 years old, I would suggest starting out
by replacing every electrolytic capacitor in it. They deteriorate.
