RELATIONS BETWEEN CATEGORIZATION AND NAMING IN THE SECOND YEAR OF LIFE
Dr. Gopnik will report on the results of her studies of the relatedness
of cognitive and linguistic development of children in their beginning
stages of language development. In particular, she will be discussing
her recent work on the relationship between children's spontaneous
nonverbal classification and the naming explosion in spontaneous speech.
