“Candidate MUST have either or both experience within MVC / Web Services”

 

The key to the position is:

“DEVELOPER POSITION would be focused on ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Content Management System concepts in general, and a little SharePoint (though this may taper off over the next year or two). I prefer C# although I do have some

VB.NET code that I must support for the next year or so as that is replaced so proficiency with both is preferred, although I am confident any c# developer can pick it up quickly.
I don’t want to filter out too much on experience level, I want to find the right personality. I want someone like a guy we had here named Malik who was the ideal developer. He had a positive attitude and was fine with doing

exploratory work, the kind of work where you hack away to figure out of a design idea will work or not and prototyping. We have to do that here.
We do need someone experienced enough that they can create web services and ASP.NET MVC code on day one though. We can’t waste time training the basics. They have to have that foundation. I am not too picky on how they got

to that point as far as computer science degrees or something else.
We need someone who isn’t a huge ego but still smart and able to dig in deep and figure it out and explore different architecture ideas. A big part of what we will be doing here is systems integration work between an HRIS, a Web

CMS, between SQL Reporting Services, WCF services, our Accounting and Finance Systems, etc.”

 

.Net Developer
ASP.NET MVC (experience with 1, 2, or 3 is fine, but 4 is here now and we’ll be working with that)
C# is our preferred compiled server side programming language and we need to do some maintenance in VB.NET
SQL Server 2008 R2 (anyone with experience with SQL 2000+ can of course learn the new stuff)
WCF and web services concepts in general
General competency working in an AD/Microsoft/Windows Server environment
