Remember, reply to this thread with one of the following response:

  • +1 ‘yes’, ‘agree’: also willing to help bring about the proposed action

  • +0 ‘yes’, ‘agree’: not willing or able to help bring about the proposed action

  • -0 ‘no’, ‘disagree’: but will not oppose the action’s going forward

  • -1 ‘no’, ‘disagree’: opposes the action’s going forward and must propose an alternative

In this case a +1 really just signals your agreement since Ryan or I have commit rights.

Does this vote imply any specific action?  Or is it just to acknowledge that Owin.dll is un-official and let it fade into obscurity?

We're going to delete it from the repo if this passes. It will still be in the history of course.

I wouldn’t expect any action to be taken until a replacement for IAppBuilder in the form of a spec exists, then we can discuss how we move everyone interested in that spec away from IAppBuilder and on to the new signatures.

As of today, the proposal to sunset the OWIN.dll containing IAppBuilder is passing 13-0
(+1: 9, 0: 4, -1:0)

I think we can close the voting on this and discuss revamping the documents to provide a way for users of IAppBuilder to migrate to the current spec?
