For those of you amused/entertained by Soviet kitsch, here are a bunch
of posters celebrating CCCP radio broadcasting.

http://images.unas.cz/radio1.htm

There are about 700 pictures on this site. They come from a Soviet
magazine "Radio" and were never published before on the Internet.

You can order:

* CD with Propaganda Posters and images from this site in screen
resolution (bonuses included).

* CD with all images from this site in better resolution (each
picture about 1MB)

* hi-res scan of any picture,

* Magazines themselves

Thank you - I'm an old sentimental fool. If I manage to, I'll pirate
<http://images.unas.cz/54-11-4.jpg> and use it as desktop backround,
lol. Violating copyright was a hallowed Soviet tradition.

:-P

Re: [Net-Gold] Soviet Radio Poster Art : [Temple University Special
Collections World War I Propaganda Poster Collection]

It may be of interest to those currently on this list that Temple
University Libraries has a substantial collection of World War I
propaganda posters in the Special Collections Department in Temple
Universities Paley Library at Thirteenth and Berks Streets in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A shorter URL for the above link:

Digital Diamond at Temple, which is related to the Temple University
Libraries online catalog has a collection of these posters online
digitized along with those photographs that have been digitized from the
former evening newspaper in Philadelphia, the Evening Bulletin.

Digital Diamond

Using a drop down menu on the main page of the Digital Diamond online
catalog, this Tyler War Poster Collection can be selected to be the entire
file that is searched.

A search of the word patriotic produces 24 documents (reproductions of the
posters) in this file.

The top post has a "RE:" because it is a response to a post from one
of the great resource posters on this list, Linda Bee, who has a true
recipe for understanding the web. Her post is contained within the top
post and elaborates on this information below from her post.

Another Linda Bee post also elaborates on World War I and has content
about the war posters.

Not to worry, you will learn in Algebra II classes that

Linda Bee = Linda Brousseau

and the constant that makes them mathematically equal is

BradL...@AOL.COM

Enjoy the posters and the posts from these several posters or one good
poster collection deserves another.
