All the links are dead and the Egypt resource sent the other day also had
mostly dead links! I was intrigued by the Egypt page and sent it to some
colleagues to be attacked for sending such a page!

Hi Sylvia,
I apologize. I'm especially sorry that you were attacked
when you sent something to someone in good faith. When
I send in a link to a page, I get the link from the page itself;
I don't copy and paste the link.
I know the main link worked. When I did the China page,
I checked a couple of links on the main webpage...and the
links I checked worked. The two links I checked are these:
The same person does all the 'World Civilization' webpages.
It's copyrighted 1996 and now I'm wondering if he did the
work and then abandoned it.
I sent the same type of resource(?) in on India and when
I checked today almost none of the links worked. The same
thing happened when I checked the email I sent on Islam
resources. And as you found out the hard way, the Egypt
resource had almost no good links.
I did notice that almost all the links were from an .edu domain.
Those are generally ephemeral. There seem to be a lot of
professors moving around; once they leave an institution, their
internet pages disappear. I know that, yet I didn't check all
the links on the individual pages. The fact that most of the links
were broken is not my fault. The fact that I didn't check them
before sending the emails in is my fault.
I do apologize for sending in links to what I thought would be
fantastic resources without checking further down the line to
make sure that what was promised was actually there.
I'm sending this to Net-Gold in addition to sending it to you privately
so that others won't waste their time on those links.
