I have implemented a few changes in Jitsi and trying to generate a windows installer file but I am not getting any information regarding how can I do it using Ubuntu/Windows. I am using Ubuntu 19.10.

That eventually led me to issue 321.

That eventually led me to issue 321.
Jitsi jitsi-2.10.5550-x64 hangs on splashscreen during startup Issue #321 jitsi/jitsi GitHub I was not able to make any
progress using the information in that issue but I did capture log
output using instructions from that issue. I've included it below. I've
checked the noted registry entry, which was set to "Jitsi.exe". I
changed it to "javaw.exe" and ran again, but there was no change. The
logs below are from after the change of that registry entry to
javaw.exe. I'd be happy to disable "office communicator" functionality
is that is possible through configuration.

The desktop app should write some logfiles which might give us hints about the problem. I recall people having problems with audio devices when the applications were sandboxed, maybe this is also the case for you.

Jitsi is a collection of free and open-source communication applications for the web and the desktop on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and for iOS and Android devices. Jitsi adopts the WebRTC, the allowing web-based multi-party video calling. Jitsi grew from a student project by Emil Ivov at the University of Strasbourg in the beginning of the 21st Century.

is the platform for free meetings hosted by Jitsi itself and this is where you can test drive the service in full. If you want to run Jitsi on your own desktop or in-house server, you can download Jitsi Desktop, Jitsi Meet and all Jitsi related software on

Jitsi is a group of free and open-source voice (VoIP), videoconferencing and instant messaging for many platforms, like the web platform, Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS and Android.[5][6][7][8] The Jitsi project started with Jitsi Desktop (previously known as SIP Communicator). With the growth of WebRTC, the Jitsi team decided to focus on Jitsi Videobridge for doing web-based video calling for multiple people. Later the team added Jitsi Meet, a full video conferencing application that includes web, Android, and iOS clients. Jitsi also operates meet.jit.si, a version of Jitsi Meet hosted by Jitsi for free to be used by the community. Other projects are: Jigasi, lib-jitsi-meet, Jidesha, and Jitsi.[9][10][11]

On November 4, 2014, "Jitsi + Ostel" scored 6 out of 7 points on the Electronic Frontier Foundation's secure messaging scorecard. They lost a point because there has not been a recent independent code check by people outside jitsi .[26]

I second parsec,
I use parsec at work to view and use my desktop at home whats around 15 mile away from the office and its pretty smooth to be able to watch and edit video and do whatever is needed.

I found that if I go into the system tray and crank-up the mic volume that I am able to get a very noisy voice from the external headset input with a standard apple white headset. It is distorted and seems to have a "helicopter" sound in the background. I have experienced similar helicopter sounds on a (different) windows box with teams several years ago. A cheap set of ear buds seem to work fine with the mic cranked-up. pavucontrol was helpful.

I had the same problem on Debian 10 with KDE desktop. Sometimes it was working other times not.
I tried to restart the laptop but didn't help. Finally I realized that teams is on autostart in KDE, so I
removed it from autostart and I also configure KDE to start with an empty session on login.
After a restart I got a new empty desktop session and I started teams and it was working
properly. I hope it is stable now.
